The Loire Valley called to us…….

It truly was a memorable, delightful day. One for the books! Brice was such a terrific, caring tour guide. The drive was so comfortable and pleasant in the minivan. The stop for breakfast with croissants, pain au chocolat, and cafe was helpful to review the day’s activities. First stop was the goat farm and learning all about making goat cheese – then sampling the delicious Chavignol fromages! Yummy! There was time to shop the little store, buy cheeses, and visit with the goats. The farm has about 700 very friendly goats.

We stopped at two wineries in the Loire Valley to learn about Pouilly Fume (first stop) and Sancerre (blanc and rouge on the second stop). Very nice to interact with the vintners and ask questions about the process. A short lunch stop in the village of Sancerre was pleasant and a tour of the small village and Sancerre wine museum. It was very fun and informative. Time to taste plentifully and be cared for by our most outstanding guide, Brice. He was so very attentive, and you never felt rushed or not included. He is such a pleasant and agreeable fellow.

The conversations in the van were very interesting and lively. The entire experience (long, 12-hour day) was so worth the investment of time and money. Thank you to Brice for a day we will long remember! It’s truly all about making memories and keeping on learning!
