I loved everything about the Sancerre & Pouilly Fumé tour! Brice was an amazing host – great energy, attentive, organized, knowledgeable, and thoughtful. He is so passionate about wine and clearly has great relationships with the winemakers, cheesemakers, and the restaurant staff. I loved learning about the terroir and seeing all the fossils that one of the winemakers had found in their vineyard. It was also really cool that both places we visited were co-owned by women. Also — they had half-bottles of wine for sale. The perfect size for me! The views were unreal. After a delicious lunch in Sancerre (so good – started with an appetizer buffet and ended with homemade chocolate mousse), we went to a museum that had a really fun 4D “experience” that felt kind of like a ride at Disney World (you’re seeing winemaking through the eyes of a bee flying around). Then we had some time to wander around Sancerre on our own. I kept finding roses and they smelled absolutely delicious. If you see a rose on this tour, definitely take the time to smell it!
