We had an incredible time with our guide Brice exploring Reims, Epernay, and three champagne houses. Pommery was fantastic, excellent champagne and very cool art installations. Castellane was historic, informative, and the view from the tower was worth the visit itself. We also got to visit Joseph Desruets, a small family-owned champagne house in operation for six generations that still uses the oldest grape press in operation in the region. At all three stops we learned so much about the process, and tasted the best champagne I have ever tried.
Our guide Brice was great, very attentive to making sure everyone on the tour (only five of us!) was well-taken care of. He was incredibly knowledgeable about wine-making and the region, taking time to explain why the stops at cathedrals and WWI cemetaries were unique and had a special place in French history.
Overall, we could not have had a better experience and would not hesitate to recommend this tour to others. Definitely a highlight of our trip!
