My husband and I took Brice’s champagne tasting tour as the second day of our 3 days visiting Paris, and it was the best guided tour either of us have ever been on. I could not recommend it enough! Beyond just being a tasting tour (although we did taste many, many champagnes!), Brice really creates a full day experience that gave us a wonderful sense of French culture, food, and history. In between touring 3 champagne houses and cellars, we saw the stunning (and historically significant) cathedral in Reims, visited a local bakery, had an amazing 3 course lunch, saw the church and resting place of Dom Perignon (the monk), and a local WWI cemetery. In touring the champagne houses, Brice did a great job picking 3 of different sizes and styles, so we see how different makers produce today (and taste the results!). He was impressively knowledgeable not only about the styles and tasting differences, but also about the history, production methods, and business side of the region and industry. This tour really delivered on its promise of being an intimate way to experience the French countryside, culture, and food / wine, and we can’t wait to take one of their other tour options next time we are back in Paris!
