Key points

The best wines had been always associated with beautiful oak barrels cellars. The purpose of our Barrels Enthusiast Tour is to let you discover how oak barrels are made and how they can influence the wine characters.

We have the chance at Paris Wine Day Tours to be close to one of the most famous cooperage, Group Charlois. That exclusive relationship will allow you to visit two of their most famous cooperage in France. The Berthomieu cooperage, -more industrial, will be your first visit. The La Grange coopearge, tailor-made one, will be the second part of your experience. Craftmen coopers are making tailor-made barrels or casks for the most famous wineries.

You will also stop at the Louis the 14th oak forest located in the west part of Burgundy close to the vineyards of Sancerre & Pouilly-Fumé. By this way you will discover the barrels making process from the tree to the glass

After your exclusive lunch at the private restaurant of the cooperage I will bring you to one of my favorite wine estate. You will walk through their cellars, taste the wines and for sure how the Charlois oak casks are used.
